These high quality glasses have the reading lenses built in. The magnification slowly starts in the middle and is strongest at the bottom, leaving no bifocal lines. This is ideal for viewing cockpit gauges with a little magnification and charts with your normal level. The tinting also lightens towards the bottom leaving your cockpit brighter while still compensating for the intense light outside the cockpit. Non-polarized. Frames made in Italy. Magnification levels (+1.00, +1.25, +1.50, +1.75, +2.00, +2.25, and +2.75).

Pros
Good quality, looks good, optics good.
Cons
A little too dark for me, especially when trying to read. I would prefer to have the small lower reading area not tinted or tinted less. I contacted them and they said they could do that, so I plan to order some with no tint on reading area.
General Comments
Favorable, great customer service, fast response to my query.

Pros
They're well constructed.
Cons
The transition area is too large. You really have to get to the very bottom of the lens for the magnification, which makes them awkward. If you happen to look through the middle of the lens, you're in the transition area that is good for seeing nothing. You're limited to the very top and very bottom of the lens. Not a practical solution for the cockpit.

CORRECTION STARTS RIGHT AT MY OUT OF COCKPIT VIEWING LOCATION MAKING MY VISION BLURED.

Pros
Probably alright if you're just going to use them on the beach. Would not recommend for flying or driving.
Cons
These were not at all satisfactory for flying. The darkened lens does not taper to a lighter shade and the correction starts up too high on the lens. This necessitates sliding the glasses down your nose to see distance. Also, there is a great deal of distortion at the periphery which could easily cause vertigo. I'm sending them back.

Excellent lenses and construction. The alignment of the progressive portions was perfect. These glasses solved a long-standing problem I had of not being able to see up close without changing to my regular progressives.

Pros
Very comfortable to wear. Easy to use the magnified parts to read.
Cons
You have to get used to the side to side distortion when you move your head quckly. Initially it tends to be a little like vertigo. You do get used to it.
General Comments
Nice glasses, but probably the stick on's are a better value and dont cause the distortion when moving your head.

I returned the glasses. They were too dark and I could hardly see my G-1000 displays. Regarding the vision correction, it seemed that I had too lift my head further up than expected in order to view the MFD and PFD displays with the vision correction portion of the glasses.

Pros
Seems to have the transition between sunglasses and reading lenses at a good spot. Work well on the flight deck of my King Air.
Cons
Reader lense optics a bit off with some distortion noted.
General Comments
Previously have worn Ray Bans classic aviator and Serengeti Drivers that seem to be a little better with glare. They seem a bit darker then the Solmates.
Not sure yet how they will hold up over time since I have only had them for a couple of weeks but so far so good.
