Cons It was meant for someone who has absolutley no aviation experience. General Comments The video needs to give more info about the "nuts and bolts" of helicopter flying and not just a quick overview for the "layman".

Overall Rating Value Usability Expectations	Pros Good inflight video and animations. Thorough preflight explanation of the R22. Cons Discussion of lateral CG calculation was good, but then they showed an R44 loaded with two people up front and a third in the left rear seat offsetting the lateral CG further to the left. The liftoff was predictably right skid first and the pilot failed to maintain yaw control. This is a standard student pilot mistake that should have been edited out and replaced with footage using a competent pilot or used to discuss the dangers of improper weight distribution. General Comments Old video had a section on X-C flight planning and inflight footage of an actual X-C included for the same price. Now you have to pay an additional $24.95 for that material. Try to find a used old video, it is a better value. As a helicopter CFI, I had high hopes for this update to the old video. I was disappointed.

Great explanations and illustrations for the student pilot as well as a review for a current pilot. Cons Product originally had a skip in the DVD when out of the box. Corrected with cleaning using dish soap and smooth towel. General Comments Would be nice to be able to download video as part of the purchase of the shipped DVD.

If the detail given to the preflight was given to a high-level conversation on helicopter aerodynamics, regulations specific to helicopters, training requirements, etc., then I may have a different opinion. Some of these topics were barely mentioned and are far more germain to begining to understand helicopter flight than the material presented. I also found the presenter very annoying with a condensending tone and bad jokes. Presentation is not engaging as I'm dying to earn a helicopter rating but, it took me three tries to stay awake through the whole video. This might be a good $15 video, but a rip-off at $50+$10 shipping. Wish I had not bought. General Comments Awful video - do not buy.

I've found other videos of the same quality and just as good lay out but for only $29.99 General Comments I'm a helicopter CFI and have my own flight school and will have my students watch this to help them better understand some areas due to the graphics. Some of my students that have seen this video like it because it is straight forward and easy to understand. I would recommend to any future helicopter pilot.
