Cons It takes a little reading to learn how to program it, but once you do, it's a lot simpler than you think. General Comments This is a great transceiver with excellent range. You can get a lot more value out of a transceiver than you can just a straight receiver.

So don't buy a cheap one then pay out the nose for a battery charger, a headset adapter, etc. etc! Cons I wish I would have purchased one years ago. General Comments I went with the A6 instead of the A24 as I drive a small sport plane and won't have time to fiddle with the VOR portion and VOR will be going the way of the dinosaur so I will save the money and use a small hand held back up GPS.

I decided on this one, because I went to a local flyin and almost all the ground controllers had this radio. I'm a student pilot and I bought it so I could listen to the tower. I live 2 miles away from the airport and I can hear the tower very well and most of the traffic when they come in on runway niner. When I am doing touch and goes, I give the radio to my girlfriend and she can follow along on the ground. Cons Stored channels do not show the frequencies and the directions are a little confusing. General Comments This is a very good radio. I did a lot of research on the web including looking a a lot forums. This always got very good reviews. I am glad I bought it.
