That might avoid jack/plug connection electrical noises typical of dirty neglected plugs. Cons A bit on the pricey side, but hey, what helpful gadgets aren't? Must be treated with care or you might end up breaking them. Frail material looks and feels like the same used for pencil erasers. It's how it keeps the plugs clean. General Comments The built in cable storage clip keeps your cord neatly wrapped around your headset. Makes you look like a pro when you take your phones out of their storage bag. Overall Rating Durability Reliablity Value Usability Expectations	Pros covers entire contact area; relative easy of inserting the headset contacts into the rubber protectors (in contrast to trying to remove them from the rubber protectors) Cons very difficult to remove from rubber protector; all the security rubber extension (that hooks to the headset cord) broke when attempting to remove the plug from the rubber protector General Comments Disappointed in the flimsy naure of the security rubber extension and the difficulty in geting the contacts out of the rubber protectors once they are inserted.

It has not fallen off, but it seems like it could, fairly easily. General Comments Definitely worth the few bucks to ensure the plugs don't get bent and the contacts don't get dirty.

General Comments In 18 years of flying, I've always had to keep my headset jacks clean with Brasso and/or abrasive pen erasers. They've always oxidized again, which leads to "the scratchies" on the radio. This little gadget not only scrubs your jacks clean with eraser-like material as you insert and remove them, it keeps them protected from oxidation while they're stored, and acts as a cord-tidy as well. If you have your own headset(s) with standard jacks, get this product!

Not only does it bring your plugs together, but if you read the directions, it also attaches to the cords that you have wrapped around the headset, and keeps it all together. My headset, it works well depending on how loose/tight you wrap it. I have two headsets. One that I use primarily, while the other is a backup/passenger headset. Because I rarely use it, I feel that it is very much worth the money to prevent corrosion, rusting, etc. Cons Overall, I don't think that it is worth the money, but you will not regret gettting it. It's very much like purchasing a handheld radio when you are flying in a nice airplane. It's preventative maintenance. General Comments It's a very good product. Does more than the description says.
