The best Lightspeed headset yet
The all new Lightspeed Zulu is lighter, quieter and has better acoustics than any headset Lightspeed has ever made.
Quiet
The low profile ear cups are made from magnesium, which reflects 10 times more sound than plastic cups, yet is stronger and lighter. Even with the ANR turned off, the headset is remarkably quiet. Add Lightspeed’s renowned active noise reduction and the Lightspeed Zulu simply delivers more overall noise cancellation than any headset available.
Comfortable
The Zulu is made from magnesium, stainless steel and four different types of composite plastics for excellent durability, but it weighs a mere 13 oz. It also features a new ergonomic fit, with 40% less lower side pressure than the 3G series. Luxurious leather earseals with temperature sensitive foam make for a soft and comfortable fit.
Bluetooth compatible
The Lightspeed Zulu allows you to connect wirelessly with your cell phone, iPod, MP3 player or other compatible device—ideal for passengers or long cross-countries. All controls are conveniently located in the battery box. Also includes wired inputs for music and cell phone.
Front Row Center Audio
Because the Lightspeed Zulu is so quiet, you can actually appreciate fine audio. And the headset is loaded with audiophile features, like premium gold contacts and Lightspeed’s innovative Noise Gating Technology, which reduces intercom noise. The patent-pending Front Row Center feature uses special circuitry to create an amazingly lifelike, surround-sound environment in the headphones.
Folds flat for storage. 5-year warranty. Includes: headset, microphone windscreen, 2 AA batteries, carrying case, 2.5mm cell phone cable, audio device cable, user guide.

Pros
Amazing quality, Soft ear-cups, Fits perfectly, good sound quality good for making and receiving phone calls and listening to music.
Cons
At first I thought the seal on the ear cups kept breaking while i was flying but I later figured out that it was because I wasn't wearing it properly and because i was sweating because it was a really really hot day. So not really a con.
General Comments
Just make sure that the ear cups thing is extended all the way and then fit it to your head as the seal might break if it is not fit right when you turn your head to look outside or something.

Pros
It's comfortable, both in terms of weight and clamping force. You can wear glasses or sunglasses without creating a permanent imprint of the temples in your head. The microphone reaches around to in front of the mouth. The audio clarity is much better than in the other Lightspeeds we have. And, of course, people are impressed when you tell them you have a Zulu. Basically, this headset behaves the way you thought all headsets should behave when you purchased your first yucky, cheap headset.
Cons
There's not much to say against this headset, just some picky stuff. It is a little pricey and could be produced and sold for less. The carrying "case" is something that you'll never be seen in public with. The instruction booklet is skimpy and could explain bluetooth set-up and other options better. There is a temporary (few seconds) high-pitched whine during start-up.
General Comments
This is our second Zulu. Once I saw how great mine was, I ordered another for my wife.

Cons
Ocassional hissing or noticeable white noise in quiet setting. Not a show stopper for me.
General Comments
I bought this in anticipation of a trip from MA to TX. Wow, what a quiet ride. Even the passive noise reduction is great. At one point I had left the headphones off and was listening to the airplane speaker. I could faintly hear the radio and the engine noise was not overbearing. Great headphones

Pros
I was ready to vote this headset a winner to my Bose. The sound is awesome. The noise cancellation great! The comfort also excellent. But...
Cons
After 2 weeks of use, about 8 days of work, a short in the wire near the control module. I was really bumming. What this tells me is the construction is not acceptable for something so expensive, and something I dont want to even think about repairing for lets say 5 years at least.
A friend of mine said he had that part replaced also on his pair.
General Comments
Great headset if they would just go the extra mile for durability. I would pay $1000 if I could rely on them. Made Bose look like second place after first use.

Lightweight, comfortable, sounds great! On a recent 6 hour flight I wore them the whole time with no problems. Made and received phone calls while simultaneously listening to my favorite tunes and never missing a message from ATC.
