Pros
Great sound quality. Fits perfectly around the ear. Microphone is really good quality and other have reported no issues hearing me.
Cons
Not really a con, but the phone adapter that comes with the mic is the 2.5mm one. Most new phones (including the iPhone and other smart phones) have a 3.5mm 4 pole jack. You will need to purchase this from some other site to be able to use your cell phone thru this headset.
General Comments
As a student pilot, i was looking for something not too expensive, but good enough for training. The SOLO SSc actually turns out to be a really really good headset. My instructor likes mine over his way more expensive David Clark headsets. A very good value, not just for student pilots, but any general aviation pilot looking for a headset in the passive noise cancelling category.

General Comments
I wanted as much headset for as little $$ as possible so I could spend my money on lessons. I had used a borrowed headset and occasionally found it hard to hear my CFI. This headset fits the bill. Sound was clear and crisp, aircraft noise was reduced comfortably. You will have to get the noise cancelling mic right up to your mouth and speak up, but you'll like the result. Spent lots of time in headsets in the military; I was not at all disappointed with this one.

Excellent quality, good value for the dollar especially for the occasional pilot. Accessory jack works great for phone or MP3. Noise reduction better than some of the popular, more expensive rental sets I've used. Thanks ...

Pros
The headset is very light-weight and very reliable. The sound is excellent and very clear and crisp. I love the adjustable volume control. Also, even though it is not an ANR, it really "mutes out" a great deal of noise. In fact, the first time I used it, I had to keep pulling it off my ears to make sure the engine sound was correct in flight!
Cons
Very bulky.
