Overall Rating Durability Reliablity Value Usability Expectations	Pros Bright white light for preflight operations. Good colored light for cockpit operatios. Colored light is not blinding allowing you to see outside still. Great for using every night flying. Cons Not able to tell the difference between the white light on switch and the colored. If you accidentally turn on the white in the cockpit it is blinding. General Comments It has been an great flashlight so far. I would buy another one.

Cons The white light shows large color variations; from orange/yellowish at the edges to blue/pinkish in the center (when you shine it on a wall). Have seen LED flashlights that perform better on color. General Comments Nice for use in the cockpit during the night. At this price I would have expected a little higher quality white light, though.

General Comments I am an aircraft mechanic and enthusiast - I attend all of the local air shows in Oklahoma, north Texas, and Kansas - and am also an amateur astromoner and attend many of the star parties that occur within a three hundred mile radius. I know that this unit was not engineered with astromoners in mind, but I have searched long and hard for a flashlight with a red led so that I can read starmaps at night while observing. This unit is perfect for astronomers, as demonstrated by the number of people inquiring about a source for this light. I have recommended this light on each occasion.

It's compact and the holster clips right on the side pocket of the aircraft for easy access. Cons The buttons are positioned in the exact same place on either side of the flashlight. In the dark, you never know which button you're going to push and this causes serious problems during night flight. It's bad enough that I'm going to probably buy a different light. General Comments

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to use it much so my high marks are based on the quality look and feel vs. actual use. The light comes with a great case that's designed to keep the light in so it shouldn't come out accidentally. Cons The lanyard included with the light is too short and thin. Although it's large enough to make it over a hand the lanyard is not large and wide enough to go over your head and comfortably rest around your neck where it might be most useful in night flight. I had a few extra lanyards around the house from past conferences and quickly made the change so now it's perfect for me. General Comments Overall the LED Lenser looks and feels like a great light. The five bright white LED's provide plenty of light while getting around the airplane for preflight and getting things stowed once inside. The red LED also provides plenty of light inside the cockpit while night flying without compromising your night vision.

The two switches can be identified with out looking by the texture, which allows you to select only red in a dark cockpit. Solid feeling, and runs off 3 AAA batteries, which last forever. Great buy!
