I love the thing. Small airplanes like mine are generally not well lighted inside. Mine is now and my hands are free to fly IFR. The simplest ideas seem often to be the best.

I don't use it as a headlamp. I put it around my neck and let it hang down. the nice thing is, is the head swivels and allows you to aim the beam where you want. The problem with all other flashlights, generally speaking, is you have to hold them with one hand. If your flying a plane without autopilot, its a real pain to hold a flashlight and have your charts/logs out navigating while flying night IFR.
