It is very hard to get the garmin in and out of this dock due to the small cable routing holes in the rear of the enclosure. There is no reason they could not be larger and better accommodate removal.

These docks are great.Keeping loose wires out of the cockpit improves safety and appearence.
Cons
Only con is for the GPS manufactuers to develope a docking-style power and signal plug that would allow a GPS unit to be more easily plugged into a docking unit. The FAA should allow without protest an installation of docking stations in any aircraft.A power plug cover would be nice.
