As a student pilot I didn't want to buy a very expensive headset. My first headset was a Peltor Nordica Sport but it was stolen a few weeks ago. I got the H10-20 to replace the lost headset, and so far I am loving every minute wearing it. I am glad I didn't get another Peltor.
The David Clark H10-20 is very well built, the quality of the transmition is much superior to my previous headset. What I like the most is how easy it is to adjust the mic to a perfect position, I don't have to wrestle it at all.
The volume adjustment works just fine. Noise reduction is much better than my previous headset. I actually think it is quiet in a C152.
The unit is Made in the USA. :-)

For the price of H10-20 I'd have gotten two Peltor Nordica Sport, but I guess I get what I paid for. IMHO, the H10-20 is a great buy as a first pair of headset, and it will be a great backup headset when I decide to move into th emore expensive, fancier ANR headsets.

Comfortable on the ears - even after long flights, good noise reduction - mic boom is easy to position.
Cons
Had a problem with the ear cushions slipping off as I was getting ready to taxi on to the runway for takeoff. Other than that, no problems!
General Comments
Good headset for the money. I may upgrade to something more advanced (and expensive) as I gain more experience, but this definately was a good all around headset for beginners.
