I've only been able to use it a couple of times, so it's hard to give an accurate durability/reliability rating, but c'mon, it's a DC. After having used the headsets on hand (Sigtronics S20, I believe)at the FBO from which I am taking lessons, I was really concerned that I was too hard of hearing to use the radios. I could hear almost nothing when running the engine full throttle during takeoff, and it's quite frustrating when you're listening for a hand-off to departure from tower. I wanted ANR phones, but decided to give these a try first. There was an absolute world of difference in the signal volume, quality, and clarity, leagues above the others I had tried. I can now hear perfectly without issues, even during takeoff/climbout. As I progress to louder planes, I may get one of those ANR upgrade kits, but right now, I'm good to go! Don't waste any more time (like I did) looking at the H10.60! This is your headset.

Pros
I really like this headset. I even went so far as to get my wife one. The comfort level is great and you can't beat the price. This is a really high-quality headset in all respects. I make long-haul flight across Texas regularly and half the time I don't even realize that I am wearing this headset. It has a volume control so that you aren't at the mercy of your radio stack, which helps out. Everyone I have spoken to about it says that my voice comes across unusually clear for an aviation headset. When it comes to intercom use in-flight it works very well. It dampens the sound of my 182 engine very well and intercom chatter is very crisp. It essentially sounds like you are sitting across the table with someone and there is no need to raise your voice at all. The extra padding on the top of your head adds a great deal of comfort in flight. I normally wear something of the baseball cap variety when I fly, partly to block the sun, partly out of weird supersticion (you fly too, you know you have your own little supersticions), and it doesn't press the top of the cap down into my head at all.

Pros
Great Starter Set. The value rating is good because these are about the cheapest headsets I can find and still fly with. The product was everything I expected given the price range. It is easy to use, pull out of the package, cut the tag off, plug in and speak and listen. The hardest part is finding the volume knob while flying.
Cons
None found yet. I marked the Durability rating and reliability rating at 3 because this headset has only seen light use so far and has not been put through the paces. Although, given that my flight instructor has used almost the exact model for years, I expect these to be at least a 4 if not 5.
General Comments
I am relatively new to flying so I don't really have another headset to compare this to. My flight instructor (30+ years of flying) uses David Clark headsets. That was a major factor in me buying these as well as price. Maybe further down the line I might pick up another set, but this one works just fine for now. I have nothing negative to say about this headset and I am fully satisfied with it.

The weather here in southern Arizona being on the warm side, I was flying with the canopy open trying to keep a little cooler. As could be unexpected my hat along with the brand new headset left the building along with Elvis and is somewhere out in the mountainous terrain northeast of Tucson most likely never to be found.

Pros
Very good sound quality. Construction seemed very solid. Product's microphone was very good.
Cons
Too much clamping force on the head. The headset becomes uncomfortable after just a short time. I have a large head, so it may be a better fit for others.
General Comments
Other than the clamping force being too strong, this headset works as advertised and is at a good price point.

Pros
I have used David Clark headsets since 1983. I have found them very reliable as the children in my family have flown with their Grandfather since then and never once had a headset malfunction. Upgrades to the headset over the years such as gel ear pads and thicker padding have made them much more comfortable to wear. I have used your competitors and David Clark still sets the headset standard for being the best value on the market.
Cons
Several years ago the headsets became uncomfortable after a long day of flying while delivering my father-in-laws plane a few times from the Chicago area to Phoenix. Eight hour legs were tough on the head. Since the gel ear pads and increased padding and lighter weight this seemed to alleviate the problem.
General Comments
I recently purchased my own and found it to be the best headset I have ever worn. Thanks for a great product. Keep up the high quality work.
