I also carry extra batteries for this power supply. My military flying experience as taught me that a backup communication system is rarely used, but when it is needed it is often a life saver.

Makes for a quick battery change in a backup radio.

The one complaint is that the release on the radio takes both hands, not a con on the battery case but it takes two to tango so the radio and case make for an unwieldy change. Another con is that the battery case fits slightly loose in the radio, I checked and so did the battery pack that came with the radio so I am guessing it is part of the design.
One more little one, the spare battery case does not come with a belt clip and that is where the belt clip attatches to the radio so if you swap the battery pack you will be without a clip so you will need to buy another one.

I wholeheartedly suggest that anyone who flies with an Icom A6 get one of these as a reliable back-up in case the regular rechargeable battery pack gives out in flight.
Highly recommended, and Sporty's shipped mine in record time (as usual).
