The Nicad Battery Pack is a wise choice if the SP-200/JD-200 will be used on a daily or frequent basis. Charges in approximately 12 hours and requires one of the four available charger options (#8632A, #8633A, #8628A or #8634A). Due to the unpredictable shelf life of Nicad (nickel-cadmium) batteries, the Nicad Battery Pack is not recommended when the JD-200/SP-200 will be used as a backup radio.
