Cons Battery compartment is poorly constructed and the end cap is a weak point in the design. I ended up having to use duct tape to keep the battery end cap in place. General Comments For the price, I expected a better, more reliable unit that didn't require duct tape to operate.

Anyway, not quite a bullet proof as the metal one was but this one works extremely well and will hold up under heavy use. Cons No Cons Listed From This Reviewer. Cons You can't put this on your knee unless you slide your seat back as the yoke hits the light assembly. Maybe if you had an articulating seat and dropped the seat height it might work in a 172. Overall Rating	Pros The knee board is really handy as it gives a firm place to write and copy down instructions from a tower or ground control. Cons I hit the brightness knob sometimes - not a big deal. Also, the bottom clip was too bulky and in the way so I removed it. General Comments Great kneeboard and exactly what I needed. As a newly instrument rated pilot, copying clearances in the air at night was next to impossible with a non-lighted kneeboard. No problem now.
