Pros
1. Timer is very easy to use even as a student pilot.
2. The flashing lights are a big plus because you cannot always here the sound.
Cons
1. The clip is cheap and wears quickly (timer falls out of the clip).
2. The beeper should be louder!
3. Somewhat difficult to get all the clocks in sync. No impossible but it could be easier(just set zulu and an offset?).
General Comments
Overall I am happy with it. Good value and easy to use.
Adding a third timer would be nice. I know there are timers with 3 available but I like the construction and usability of this timer.

Pros
- Easy to read
- Flashing LED's good for alerting you to an expired timer without needing to periodically focus on the timer.
- Backlight for night use.
Cons
- The timer does not reset to the previously programmed timer interval after you have stopped the timer. This makes it somewhat annoying to use for IFR procedures that require repetitive use of a time interval (e.g. 1-minute legs in a hold). Instead you have to clear the timer each time then set it again. Had I realized this indefensible omission I would never have wasted my time purchasing this timer in the first place.
General Comments
Except for the convenience of the backlighting and the handy LED alert you can do just as well (or better) with a $5 kitchen timer

Pros
Easy to read display --
Large and accessible buttons --
Ruggedly built --
All needed timing functions, multiple timers, and Zulu time display
Cons
The time is larger than I anticipated, and I was unable to attach it to my kneeboard without covering access to other needed information.
The timer does tend to slip out of its holder quite easily.
General Comments
Overall I think this is a well-designed timer with all the functions you might need. If you can find a convenient place to mount it on the panel or within easy reach, you will have a useful tool for cross-country timing or IFR work.
However, it just doesn't work when attached to a kneeboard and that was my intent when buying it. There are a couple of reasons for that. First of all, it is just too big. If you clip it onto the side of the board, it takes up a lot of real estate. Secondly, the timer slips out of its holder easily and ends up on the floor or under the rudder pedals.
I have not found a good place to clip it where it will be accessible and will not interfere with other controls or indicators. But if you have a place in mind, then you will be happy with this product. I plan to keep mine, but for the time being I will be using my watch during cross-countries.

You need to ask for ratings about a month after the order - that
gives us time to really use the product - we only got to fly once
using this timer - we need to evaluate it after a longer flight plan
of 4 - 6 hours
good - easy to see with the large numbers

The biggest con is that countdown timers must be reprogrammed each time. Once the countdown expires, hitting reset, resets it to zero, not to the previous countdown starting point.
General Comments
You must hold the reset button down to reset the timers. Prevents accidently reseting it, but also makes it difficult to reset in high workload situations.

Ordered one to help me keep track of time and fuel checks during Army Helicopter BWS (Basic Warfighting Skills). Great product, loud enough to hear in the cabin and the leds help as well. Great price too! Clips directly onto a kneeboard.

We've tried numerous timers and tossed them all. This is easy to use, notifies visually and with beeping, and has a clip to attach its case to something in the cockpit.
Cons
The clip is great but if you want to velcrow the case to the panel the clip gets in the way.

I bought the "Sportys Timer" from Sportys because I could not get it from MYPILOT or Aircraft Spruce. Your S&H on small orders is 25% to 50% higher than than those two venders. As a result, I have spent fourteen times as much at those other vendors than at Sportys, but I did send my tickets in for the drawing. Thanks

Pros
Ability to do 2 timers and have a clock is awesome, plus having countdown is nice.
Cons
It takes 5 seconds of holding most of the buttons to make be able to set a time in there, or reset the timer to zero and begin counting up again. During hold practice, or during my sim patterns that I practice for a NIFA ground trainer event, the time it takes to restart the timer is a little to long for my personal taste. Also, when you replace batteries you have to reset the clock.
General Comments
One day my friends who were flying a cross country needed this, and it randomly would not start even with several attempts of putting in new batteries. Then randomly several hours later it turned on and has worked since.
Also the piece that holds the clip on randomly fell off on the ramp, and I could not find it because it's gray and so is the ramp, so now there's no clip. I would have liked a protect a little more durable then this for what I paid plus shipping. But if you're not going to be needing it for as much stuff as I needed, then it should be a fine timer for most people.

Timer works great, can switch from Regular, 24hr, or zulu just by pushing a button. Very easy to read.

I wish it was just a little smaller so I could fasten it to my clip board easier, but the size didn't stop me from doing that anyway.

Very easy to use. flashing red lights are great because you usually don't hear the beeping alarm.
Cons
Digital clock lights fade out very easy with the sun and makes it extremely difficult to read. Count down timer feature doesn't reset and have to reset every time. A cheap digital kitchen timer doesn't fade out and timer can reset and they have a 3rd timer option if needed also.
General Comments
Had problems reading digital clock in curtain light conditions during flight and wasted time with my head down in the cockpit resetting the timer. Ended up going back to my digital kitchen timer. Flashing red lights are great and extremely easy to use. They're easy fixes I think and hope Sporty's comes out with a new and improved clock soon.

Robust, easy to clip to things and a very large screen. Has UTC clock.
Cons
I didn't check, nor did I realize but there is no split time function! There are two timers but neither can do a split time. The start/stop button is small and fiddly and, the LCD screen can't be read at large angles though it is very large and easy to see at normal angles.
General Comments
If you're looking for a large timer for start to finish timing, this thing is great but if you want to be able to do split times or quickly and easily reset the timer for your next leg, this isn't the timer you want.
