Big, clunky, terrible clip. The timer falls out of it easily and the clip is so weak it won't hold the sheer bulk is the timer to anything. Good idea, terrible execution.

Pros
Back-lighting... Buttons are not apt to be pressed inadvertantly.
Flashing red lights when countdown expires.
Cons
The holder (clip that it slides into) doesn't hold the clock securely enough. I've dropped mine a few times because it slid out when I pulled my kneeboard out of my bag. Also, the clip didn't really work on my setup, so I had to use velcro. Could you start including velcro as an alternative to the clip in the kit when you send it out?
A major improvement would be the ability to save a countdown time to one/both of the timers (like 30 mins for a fuel check), instead of having to reset the timer for 30 mins each time.
General Comments
Overall, the backlighting, flashing countdown alarm, and "safer" buttons make this timer better than my last one. The only thing I miss from my other clock was the ability to save countdown presets to the timers.
Thanks.

I do not understand why i paid 30% of the purchase price for shipping and it was sent standard mail, and took over a week to arrive. for that sort of premium on shipping at the very least i expected it here in a few working days with a tracking number (like everything else I buy from sporty's except my AD and Sectional S. Funny thing is my next order which was a day or two later was a book that was 20 times as large as this and costs half as much cost the exact same to ship, was here in 2 days with tracking number. Very dissatisfied with the shipping. Sportys should price the item for what they are selling it for, then charge shipping what it costs to send it for the type of shipping selected like 99% of internet retailers do, I hate the mystery ship and having to pay a premium for it.

Well thought out design and is a timer to meet all needs, if one requires such a device in the cockpit. Does everything you could possibly want in a timer.
Cons
Way overpriced for what it is. Should be half what it is presently priced at.
General Comments
Useful tool and necessary. In hindsight, might have bought a cheaper digital timer from somewhere else. I feel guilty almost everytime I use this because I paid so much for it. I have a buddy that has one he paid $5 for that is just as useful as this timer.

Pros
- Large digits are easy to read.
- Flashing LED lights helpful in low light situations.
- Pretty well built.
- Good value.
- Has local (12hr), 24hr and Zulu time.
- Good backlight.
Cons
- Timer reverts to zero when you reset it.
- 'Set' requires a long push of the button.
- LEDs aren't very bright during the day.
- Battery door poorly engineered.
General Comments
As has been previously mentioned by other reviewers - the timer reverts to zero when you reset it, instead of the time you had last programmed. I also don't particularly like how long you have to press and hold the 'set' button to reset the timers. Both pretty minor issues, but annoying none the less. My work around has been to just set up both timers before I ever climb in the cockpit. I actually purchased this unit largely because of the LEDs. I figured they would catch my eye and help prevent missed fuel checks. Unfortunately they are just too dim during the day. I keep the timer on my kneeboard in a UH-60 and I have yet to notice the lights. The large digits make a quick glance easy enough though. Also, be warned - do not put velcro over the battery door. I covered the back with velcro, but cut out around the alarm hole and made cuts along the battery door so I still had velcro over the door, but it still came off to change the batteries. The first time I pulled it off my kneeboard the two tiny plastic nipples that hold the bottom of the battery door on snapped right off. My fault for not noticing the frail door, but still frustrating. I do like that you can turn it off to conserve the batteries. All in all I'm happy with the timer. For the price it's definitely a good value. If they would fix the above mentioned issues and add some super bright LEDs I would gladly pay twice the price.

Pros
1. Timer is very easy to use even as a student pilot.
2. The flashing lights are a big plus because you cannot always here the sound.
Cons
1. The clip is cheap and wears quickly (timer falls out of the clip).
2. The beeper should be louder!
3. Somewhat difficult to get all the clocks in sync. No impossible but it could be easier(just set zulu and an offset?).
General Comments
Overall I am happy with it. Good value and easy to use.
Adding a third timer would be nice. I know there are timers with 3 available but I like the construction and usability of this timer.
