Almost all pilots struggle with communications at some time, but these cards can take the fear out of talking on the radio. Script-style layout lets you write out exactly what to say for both departure (front side of card) and arrival (back side) before getting into the airplane. Then, once flying, simply read your prepared script—for ground, tower, approach control and more. Includes room for copying clearances, taxiing instructions and more. Sized for kneeboards, and available in VFR or IFR format. Pad of 50.

Great for students or pilots not comfortable talking to ATC.
If you frequently fly into a towered airport, one pad should be just enough to get you acquainted with the order and the lingo.

Pros
If you have trouble with the radios, then this can help you practice or follow the flow.
Cons
Making mistakes on the radio as a student is how to learn. These put you into the paper rather than into the conversation.
General Comments
Get a scanner and listen in at your FBO for a few hours.
Remember, ATC and the other pilots are PEOPLE. They won't hunt you down if you stumble and sometimes they'll even break form and be personable.
