Cons the bag is great for students there is room for all books and other things, it may be a little large after training completion, General Comments I am really enjoying using the Sporty's private pilot training materials, they are in my opinion an excellent learning tool.

Overall Rating Durability Reliablity Value Usability Expectations	Pros Nearly complete kit for the student pilot with a single purchase, convenient. Cons The deluxe kit is not truly deluxe. The course curriculum states that the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge is mandatory reading yet it is not included with the kit, it must be purchased separately. The training guide does not clearly state which section of the mandatory supplemental reading is applicable to the segment which you are studying, good tie in with the DVDs but not the reading material. General Comments I called customer service about the missing Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge and was told that some students don't want it. I stated that the training curriculum states it is mandatory reading, she repeated her statement... we had a standoff. I paid $330 for what I thought was a complete kit only to be shorted a $24 mandatory manual. I would have rather not received the fuel tester and sectional plotter in favor of the Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge making the training course truly complete.

Cons The package was sent incomplete General Comments Although the packers had forgotten a book in the kit, getting them to send a replacement was one of the easiest experiences I have ever had with a company.

I like being able to see manuvers demonstrated and the quizes at the end of each section. Cons I wish there was a brief written summary I could refer to in preparing for the written test. The DVD's are great but if I want to look up an answer real quick I had to use a book I borrowed from a friend. General Comments

The instructions are very detailed and the books that come along with the package tell you the Section and Volume in the DVD as a reference. Cons None General Comments

Overall Rating Durability Reliablity Value Usability Expectations	Pros A lot of great equipment/materials for the price. If you watch the DVDs and take notes, you can save a lot on ground school. The weather books are a nice touch. DVDs are by far the best ones out there. Cons There is no textbook included. It would be very helpful; the Airplane Flying Handbook is good but incomplete. The package should include the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical knowledge, or some other type of reference book. Jeppesen has one and it's great; if Sporty's offered one the course would be far superior to anything else. General Comments I used this when I was working on my Private; now I'm a CFI and I recommend it to all of my students (except I tell them to buy the Jepp textbook...). It's a great package.
