These replace sheet metal Knots 2U caps that were on the plane when I bought it. I cannot speak to the speed advantage of these caps but the overall package of flap/aileron gap seals, wing fillet fairings, gear lobes and hub caps result in a no-kidding 8-9 knot improvement over book values at 55, 65, and 75% cruise. These LoPresti caps are top notch quality.
