A good, step by step course covering the Citation's systems. Each system's function, layout, control, and some possible malfunctions, are covered in sufficient detail for a general understanding

The video is not in perfect focus all the time. Better focus would make some details easier to see.
General Comments
This video won't substitute for a thorough reading of the airplane flight manual, but it helped in preparing for the type rating by providing a clear picture of each system, and each maneuver. Starting ground school with a base of knowledge made the ground school details easier to absorb and remember.
This video is particularly useful for the piston pilot making his first transition to flying jets.

I had flown the Conquest ll and we are getting a CJ2+, so I bought this to get a little insight. The new CJ's are FADEC and have no TR's but not much else has changed.

The narrator was very articulate and the video was good quality.

As someone who flies a Citation everyday, I thought I would get the video to augment my knowledge. The bottom line is I learned VERY little about the airplane and VERY little about how to fly it in NORMAL operations.
General Comments
Video should have started with a brief walk around and brief explanations of systems that matter. Then a look at the cockpit again with brief explanations of systems, then:
Here are the before start checks; here's how you crank it up (and things that can go wrong during startup including limitations); here's how you do the various after start checks; here's how you do the taxi checks; here's what you do just before takeoff; here's how you do the takeoff; here's how you do a landing (several landings).
Who cares about steep turns and other maneuvers that you never do in real life?
