I started my private pilot license back in 2007 but took a break due to the economy. I previously used the 2007 non CD version of the test prep and I must say that I really like this version much more. The only complaint that I have is in study mode when I randomly generate an exam, I seem to get many of the same questions from previous study sessions. Then when I switch over to exam mode I am surprised by some of the questions as I have not seen a similar one. No worries, I take my exam in a couple weeks and I am more than confident that I'll pass with high marks.

Easy to install. I definitely would not have studied as well if I had to use one of the "books" since I prefer computerized studying.

Although it has all available questions in test mode, the "study mode" limits the number of questions available to study....not sure why. It'd be nice to have all questions available for both. Although you can get same effect by using test mode. so, minor complaint.

This is the same as the book without the lead in info. The ease with which you can only study your particular interest is of great value along with the grading and explanation of which answer is correct. I found it helpful to study one area until I had it down cold and then go onto the next while adding the previous area in tests. The fact that you can get your sign off from here makes this more than worth the price. This prep along with MS Flight Sim and controls has made my transition to the field and ability to ask informed questions of my instructor seamless. Thanks Sporty's and ASA for great selection, customer service, and training materials!
