It can be used on your computer, downloaded to your ipod, or will even play in your cd player. This is a very versatile tool to help you pass your oral test. Cons It would be nice if the student got a question or two wrong to demonstrate how the examiner might reply or try to coach the student to pull the knowledge out from association to another subject. It doesn't prepare somebody for what they can really expect to hear from the FAA Examiner. General Comments Based on discussions with several pilots, the FAA examination doesn't really look anything like to way it is characterized on the DVD.

After listening to the audio over and over in my car and on my Ipod, I feel much better prepared for the checkride. The CD has eight tracks, 12 to 35 minutes per track, each covering an individual topic. This makes it easy to focus on areas where one needs more review. With a busy schedule some days this is the only we get to study. Cons The quality was outstanding, but I would like to have heard less of a textbook or scripted response. It would be helpful to include a sampling of recordings from real world oral test and to hear how candidates think through or derive the correct answer. General Comments This is a great tool to keep the material fresh in your head as you approach your check ride date. My check ride is in 3 days and I'm feeling about as prepared as I can be.

The CD's audio quality is excellant and the topics discussed were well thought out and broken down into easily memorized sections. I listen to it in my car on my way to and from work. It built my confidence by reminding me of the key words that an examiner would like to hear (e.g. aneroid wafer in describing how the altimeter works). Cons There seem to be some inaccuracies in the material. For instance, TAF is referred to as the Terminal "Area" Forecast. The person playing the examiner could have saved time with fewer comments such as, "As usual, Robin, your are exactly correct." General Comments Overall, this is a great resource and I highly recommend it for anyone who is preparing for the oral portion of the practical test.
